It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond George Smith (St John's, Newfoundland), born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his sister Doreen Hounsell; his brother-in-law John; and his parents, Jessie Ida and Thomas Malcolm.

He is survived by: his daughters, Pam O'Brien (Simon) and Lori Smith (Glen Crowley); his grandchildren, Katie (Viv), Allie (Andrew), Claire and Emma; his sister Judi Winsor (Scott); his sister-in-law Rhonda Wicks (René); and his friends, Ruth Andrews and Ray. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray's memory may be made to pancreatic cancer research.
