He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Kelli; his former life partner Kimberly Cole; his parents, Frederick Rowsell and Marilyn Tremblett; his sister Squirt; his nieces, Grace and Emma; his stepmother Gertrude Rowsell; his brother Scott Rowsell; his parents-in-law, Stan and Liz Cole (Kim); his brother-in-law Jeff Cole (Lana); his nieces, Rebecca and Susan; his nephew Stephen; his parents-in-law, Kevin and Terry Sharpe (Kelli); his brother-in-law Kris Sharpe (Monique); his niece Julia; his nephew Noah; his sister-in-law Kerri Milne (Brad); his nephews, William and Matthew; and also Jessica Ghaney.

Visitation will take place at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 p. m. and 7-9 p. m. on Sunday December 6th, with COVID-19 restrictions in place. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions the funeral service will be held on Monday December 7th, 2020 at 2:00 p. m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel and is by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Rick's memory.
