He was predeceased by: his parents, Llewellyn Vallis and Eliza Vallis; his sisters, Marion Wessel (Jack) and Betty Smith (Bill); his stepsister Ruth Burton (Bruce); his brothers, Fred (Lorna) and Roy (Millie); and his stepbrother Jim Hillier (Dena).
He is survived by: his stepmother May; his wife June Ann; his children, Ian of St. John's, NL, Lori (Christian Carsjens) of Guelph, ON and Karen Peknik (Les) of Dartmouth, NS; and his grandchildren, Isabel, Claire (Lori), Sophia, Griffin (Ian) and Samuel (Karen).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the 26th the Carnell Memorial Chapel (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3).
