He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Pumphrey and Mary Pumphrey; his siblings, Mary Fitzgerald (Desmond) and Monica Benoit; his child Nellie Pumphrey; and his brother-in-law Bill Benoit.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Duffett); his children, Heather, Ron Jr. (Pam), Stephen (Lucille), John, Shawn and Ian (Lucy); and his siblings, Sheila (late Frank Mooney), Angela (Ed Houde), Anita (late Jack Murphy) and Gerald (Madonna). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Per Ron's request, in lieu of flowers, "please treat a needy person or family to dinner".
