With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley Joan (Marsh) Smallwood (St John's, Newfoundland), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Charlie; her grandson Matthew; her parents, Amos Marsh and Dorothy Marsh; her in-laws, Alexander Smallwood and Ellen Smallwood; and her sisters-in-law, Isabelle Whiteway and Maxine Clarke (Bill).
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Jr. (Marilyn) and Glenn; her grandchildren, Cassandra (Ron), Curtis (Anne), Ian (Nicole) and Hope (Matthew); her brother Earl; her brothers-in-law, Augustus Smallwood (Audrey), Alexander (Voilet) and George Whiteway; her close friends, Pat Walsh, Peggy Dodge, Betty Cumby, Fred and Thelma Wornell; and also Harper. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
As Shirley and Charlie were long time members of Wesley United Church, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to VOWR Radio or the SPCA.
