He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Bessie and Sarah Bessie; and his sisters, Doris and Teresa. He is survived by: his wife Nellie (Blundon); his children, Anna and John (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Renee (Brent), Curtis (Felix), Mark (Breanne) and Chad (Janine); his great grandchildren, Stephanie, Carson, Gabriel, Natalie and Abby; and his siblings, Marjorie, Dorcas, Clyde (Martina) and Murdock (Mary).
