We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2022, at the age of 63, Thelma Jeanette (Squires) Hicks (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Kayla Hilary Hicks (Derek Hicks); her parents, Robert Squires and Marjorie Squires; her siblings, Robert Squires, Douglas Squires, Clarence Squires, Edith Lawrence (Squires) and Laura Squires; and her nephews, Stephen Miller and Clarence Squires.
She is survived by: her children, Cory Squires (Corinne), Melissa Hicks, Tracey Hicks (Glen) and Annie Gavel (Matthew); her grandchildren, Jared, Chelsea, Tony, Joshua, Allie, Scarlett, Derek and Dax; her sisters, Rhoda Cochrane (John), Lydia Squires, Violet Williams (Peter) and Christine Squires; her brother-in-law Clyde Clarke; her friend Fern Somerton; her family Dr. Aaron McKim; and her caregiver Fatima Mansaray. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, close relatives and special friends.
By personal request cremation has taken place with no visitation due to COVID restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Thelma's memory to the St. Philip's Anglican Church.
