He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Bursey and Elizabeth Bursey (Blackmore); and his parents-in-law, Clifford and Irene Luther. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth (Betty); his pet Angel; his children, Bob Bursey (Brenda) and Irene Abbott (Ken); his grandchildren, Stevie, Nikki Bursey, Cole and Kristen Abbott; and his siblings, John Bursey (late Lillian), Dolores Ottler (Rudy), Marcie Brooks (late Clint), Elizabeth Lyons (Bernie), Carl Bursey and Karen Fraser. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

As a result of the current COVID-19 protocols there will be a family visitation only.
