He is survived by: his wife Esther O'Brien; his children, Bruce (Lori) and Trudy (Kent); his grandchildren, Andrea, Breanna, Ethan, Emily and Logan; and his great grandchild Sadie. He is also survived by extended family, friends.

Flowers will be graciously accepted by the family, or donations can be made in Joe's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
