He was predeceased by: his parents, Alf Johansen and Ella Johansen of Oslo; and his sister Harriet Johansen. He is survived by: his children, Hege, Alf Christian and Hanne (Marius); his grandchildren, Matheo and Tage; his stepson Fraser Neil (Patricia); and his close friends, Kjartan and Ole Bjorn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the 3rd Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3).
