With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verne Arthur Ainsworth (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 25, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Verne had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Verne may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his wife Daphne Ainsworth (Knight); his parents, Vivian Ainsworth and Doris Ainsworth; his brother Rod Ainsworth; and his close friend Doris Field.

He is survived by: his son Scott (Dorothy); and his granddaughter Brittany. He is also survived by family; also leaving to mourn are brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews.
