The memory of Violet Abbott (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 31, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob; her parents, Alexander Gilbert (Sandy) and Mable Gilbert; and her siblings, Margaret, Bertha, Ruby, Lloyd and Ivan.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Abbott (Mike Roche), Roxanne Pitcher (Greg) and Harry Abbott; her grandchildren, Kelli Durdle (Brad) and Jacob Abbott; her great grandchildren, Bethany and Audrey Durdle; her siblings, Phyllis Gilbert, Ewen Gilbert and Weldon Gilbert (Eleanor); her sister-in-law Myrtle Gilbert; and her friends, Brenda Keefe and Paulette Crowley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
