He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace and Alice; and his sister-in-law Janet. He is survived by: his children, Holly, Sarah and Wayne; his significant other Judy Guilfoyle; his significant other's daughter Denise; his grandchildren, Reid, Luke, Ellie, Jack, Matthew, Leah and Ryan; his siblings, John, Gord, Wally, David, Bill, Joan, Glenys and Gerry; and his pets, Sadie and Simon of Wayne's Boy. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
Before passing, Wayne requested that, in lieu of flowers, people should honour his memory by calling or visiting someone they haven't seen in a long time.
