He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his parents, William R. Neal and Susan Neal; his siblings, Jean Fearn (Frank), George (Beverley), Ford (Kathleen) and Fraser (Helen); and his siblings-in-law, Eric Harvey (Margaret), Jim Harvey (Peg), Ron Harvey, Jim Baird, Jim McLaughlin, Nellie Edwards (Wes) and Janet Story (Colin).

He is survived by: his son George (Carol); his grandchildren, Jennifer Irwin (Alan), Geoff (Connie) and Eric (Jaime); his great grandchildren, Jack Irwin, Emma Irwin and Aaron Neal; his sister Mary Balint (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Gladys Baird, Shirley McLaughlin and Lorna Harvey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
