It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Winnifred Sparkes (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Sparkes; her daughter Carolyn Nicholson; her son-in-law John Nicholson; her parents, Harriet Moulton and George Moulton; and her sisters, Thelma Gosling, Hannah Legrow (Annie), Millicent Hadley, Lyma Adams and Helen Adams.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jacki (Thad), Paul (Paula), Anthony, Andrew and Andrea (Keith); her brother-in-law Cyril Adams; and her caregivers, Amanda Little, Valerie Hanrahan and Dr. Heidi Carew.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wesley United Church.
