He was predeceased by: his former wife Faye; his parents, Archibald Banfield and Bertha Banfield; his siblings, Russell and Eileen; his son Derrick; his brother-in-law Phil Bryant; and his son-in-law Junior Wight.
He is survived by: his wife Olive Louise; his children, Alvin (Carol), Sandra, Lynne, Olly, Evie, Joyce (Andy), Max (Lola), Debbie (Chris), Gary (Lori) and Rhonda; and his stepdaughter Susan (Keith). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, sister Ollie and many extended family members and friends.
