Austin Augustus Hatcher Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Austin Augustus Hatcher (Stephenville, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Hatcher and Annabelle Hatcher; and his parents-in-law, Andrew and Sarah Simms. He is survived by: his spouse Ivy; his children, Sheldon (Cathy), Justin and Sherry (Robert); his grandchildren, Harvey (Laura), Jillian, Matthew, Nathan, Noah, Darcie and Reuben; his sisters, Flossie, Nita (Austin) and Betty (Allen); and his siblings-in-law, Douglas (Audrey), Scott (Sheila), Neil (Vida), Irene Winsor (Ford), Marjorie Meyer, Sadie Winsor (Howard), Bernice Mouland (Winston) and Doris Simms (Clem). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Stephenville.
