She was predeceased by : her husband Patrick; her parents, Mary Slaney and David Slaney; and her sisters, Anna Foley and Clara Froude.

She is survived by : her children, Kenneth Bruce (Marty) of Fort McMurray, Brenda Buckle (Bernie) of Massey Drive, Patricia Wakeham (Tony) of Kippens, Linda Kattenbusch (John) of Gander and Wanda Myler (Jim) of Saint John, NB; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Matthias), Jason (Genevieve), Christopher (Jessica), Steven (Brittany), Erin (Tyler), Sarah, Nicole, Mark and Mackenzie; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Liam, Nicolas, Emma, Drew and Henry; her siblings, David Slaney and Carm Slaney; and her close friends, Ed and Betty Strickland. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

As expression of sympathy donations in Betty's memory can be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital.
