David Gerard Burton Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of David Gerard Burton announce his sudden passing at his residence on Monday, November 13th, 2023 at the age 67 years.

David was a hard worker, who was employed with the English School District for 28 years and retired at age 60.

David leaves to mourn: his loving wife of 35 years, Mercedes Burton (nee Marche); his daughters: Sherry (Gilbert) Brenton and Jennifer Burton (Darryl); son Robert Burton; stepson Robert Benoit; seven grandchildren: Samantha, Nathaniel, Chloe, A.J., Abby, Iris, and Adalynn; six brothers: John, Martin, Gary, Paul, Raymond, and Darrell; and sister Diane; as well as a circle of extended family and friends.

David was predeceased by: his father Abraham Burton; his mother Madeline Burton (nee McCarthy); his stepdaughter Wendy Benoit; his father-in-law Wallace Marche; and his mother-in-law Zetha Marche.

Following his wishes cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24th at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Piccadilly. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Piccadilly.
