Dennis Joseph Byrne Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Joseph Byrne (Stephenville, Newfoundland), born in Conche, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 25, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his significant other Mary Byrne; his parents, Dennis Byrne and Anne Byrne; and his sister Myrtle Fennely. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Rielley, Shane, Courtney, Chelsie, Clayton, Blair, Justin, Breeanna and Jack; his great grandchildren, Brooke, Reed, Landon, Rylan and Owen; his siblings, Mary Butler, Doreen Currie, Gord Byrne, Julie Tobin and Jerome Byrne; and his close friends, Anne Dower and Eunice Wheeler-Dempsey. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, many close extended family and friends.

Raymond Lackey wrote a sympathy message

“To the Byrne family and friends, please accept our deepest sympathy. I met Dennis in 2010 when I first moved to Stephenville at the curling club. He took me under his wing when I knew nobody, sponsored me to become a member of Branch 35 Legion. We won the NL Legion curling championship and went to Canadian Nationals in Montreal. ( the photo) Dennis and Mary were our friends and they are both deeply missed. Raymond and Dawn Lackey”
