He was predeceased by: his significant other Marina; his former wife Elizabeth; his daughter Cynthia Ann; his parents, Lawrence and Veronica; his siblings, Irene, Anne, Meta, Larry, Harold, Leonard, Raymond and Eugene; and his son-in-law Kevin.

He is survived by: his children, Jimmy (Ada), Sean (Glenda), Linda, Barry (Eileen), Edwina, Todd (Karen), Genny (Dave), Walter (Heather), Mark (Kena) and Naomi (John); his stepchildren, Debbie, Sean (Cathy) and Laurie (Danny); Conrad Collier. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Russells Funeral Home (57 Prince Rupert Dr, Stephenville, NL A2N2Z5). A reception was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM.

As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Everest's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
