She was predeceased by : her husband Cornelius; and her siblings, Roddy, Pat, Greta Doucette and Margie Gabriel.
She is survived by : her children, Cornelius Jr. (Nery) of Alberta, Clara Miner (Jim) of Surrey, BC and Lana Smith (Edward) of Stephenville; and her siblings, Charles Jr. (Matilda) of Stephenville Crossing, Jackie of Stephenville Crossing, Lloyd of Stephenville Crossing, Perry (Joyce) of Stephenville Crossing, Jimmy (Marlene) of Stephenville Crossing, Reggie (Noreen) of New Brunswick, Bobby (Clara) of Stephenville, Garland (Sheila) of Nova Scotia, Corney (Delores) of St. Georges, Sandi Delaney (Wayne) of Stephenville and Dolly Garnier of St. Georges. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held followed by interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Gertie's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
