Gilbert Joseph Cornect Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Joseph Cornect (Stephenville, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace and Mildred; and his sister Cecilia. He is survived by: his son Jordan (Samantha); his grandchildren, Jenae and Jaxon; his siblings, Florence, Wallace Jr., Leo Paul (Debbie), Beverly (Bert), Bertram (Debbie), Alban (Elizabeth), Sharon (Gary) and Tony (Stacey); his close friend Adrian (Susan); and his nieces, Della (Alphonsus) and Kim (Marcel).

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Les Terre-Neuviens Francais French Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice are greatly appreciated.
