He was predeceased by : his parents, Clare Gillis and John Gillis; his siblings, Greg, Joe, Veronica Hann (Jack), Tilly Alexander, Eva Geortz and Marg Hackett; and his sister-in-law Lucy Gillis.
He is survived by : his wife Dulcie Gillis; his children, Jamie (Rayna), Eunie Gillis and Clare Popwell (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Lonnie (Stephanie), Michael, Jared, Jenna (Chris) and Ashley (Roman); his siblings, Sandy (Mary Ann), Ron (Tillie), Tom, Jack (Sharon) and Norma; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry Alexander, Michael Hackett, Fred Geortz, Rita Gillis and Loretta Gillis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private family service at Maria Regina Parish followed by interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Port au Port.
