She was predeceased by: her uncle Fred; her father Wilfred Hynes; her stepfather Mike Pare; her father-in-law Terry Carver; and her grandmother Georgie.

She is survived by: her close friend Mom Lola Ogden (Bernie); her sister Sabrina (Dean); her niece Briana; her mother-in-law Heather (Donald); her sisters-in-law, Lori (Shane) and Christie (Jody); and her sibling's children, Zack, Spencer, Kori, Brody, Merideth and Liz Baker.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nikki's name to the Gynecology/Oncology department at the Dickson Center in Halifax.
