With sadness, we share the passing of Philip Joseph Sheppard (Stephenville, Newfoundland). Philip, born on August 25, 1940, passed away on October 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Sheppard; his parents, John Sheppard and Margaret Sheppard; his siblings, Thomas Drake, Richard Sheppard, Owen Sheppard, Eileen Mullowney (James) and Clarissa Walsh (John); his sister-in-law Josephine Sheppard; and his pet Lucky.
He is survived by: his children, Corey (Jacqueline), Philip and Sheena (Derrick); his grandchildren, Seneca (Steve), Melanie (Mark), Dillon, Tyrone, Cheyenne, Samantha (Mark), Gregory and Kaitlyn; his great grandchild Theo; his siblings, Bernice and John; and his sisters-in-law, Minnie and Theresa-Marie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Russells Funeral Home (57 Prince Rupert Dr, Stephenville, NL A2N2Z5). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Parish (78 West St, Stephenville, NL A2N1E4).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
