It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Joseph Slaney (Stephenville, Newfoundland), who passed away on January 31, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Slaney and Alice Slaney; his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Maurice, Lawrence, Creusa Stacey, Margaret Childers and Violet Turpin.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Alberta (Sheila), Gary Alberta (Meeling), David St (Peggy), Robert Jr., Cathy Slaney, Janet Stephenville (Paul) and Sharon Ontario (Dave); and his siblings, Charles and Theresa "Tess" Power. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
