She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hodder and Lucy Hodder; her former husband Patrick Hickey; her parents-in-law, Patrick, Rita Hickey, Eldon and Pansy Gidge; and her siblings-in-law, Orlando, Marilyn and Pauline Gidge.

She is survived by: her husband Ivan Gidge; her children, Patrick Hickey (Pearl) and Pamela Laing (Jeff); her stepchildren, Daryl (Angela) and Cindy (Clarence); her grandchildren, Tylor, Patrick, Logan, Myla, Heather, Clint and Shane; her great grandchildren, Gunner and Gracie; her siblings, Lorraine (Oswald), Lester (Clarice), Harold (Lorraine), Madeline (Aubrey), Ina, Evelyn (Gus) and Audrey (Gurrin); and her siblings-in-law, Mary (Hayward), Agatha, Gail (Alonzo), Basil (Theresa), David (Patty), Val (Maureen), Ross, Wayne (Lorraine), Derrick (Edith), Austin (Adrian), Bedell, Dana (Susan), Randy, Varrick, Rodney (Patti), Boris (Stephanie), Yvette (Gilbert) and Rosalind (Wayne). She is also survived by her family and close friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Stoneville Pentecostal Tabernacle. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
