It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ross Barnes of Summerford, Newfoundland, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Barnes and Edna Barnes; his son Stephen Barnes; and his brothers, Edward, Roy, Ralph and Artie Barnes.
He is survived by : his daughters, Stephanie (Guy) and Patti (Evan); the mother of his children Irene; his granddaughters, Sarah, Robyn and Brianna; and his siblings, Albert, Cavell (Howard), Ewen, Gordon (Mary), Cyril, Velma (Bob), Ellison and Joan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 2nd 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the New World Island Funeral Home (177 To The Isles Rd, Summerford, NL A0G 4E0). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 2nd 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Cemetery (Unnamed Road, Cottlesville, NL A0G1S0).
