He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vaters and Emily Vaters of Swift Current; his former wife Melvie; his children, Rex, Gordon and Gloria; and his siblings, Walter, Jim, Mark, Evelyn and Gladys.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his brothers, Eugene (Ruth), Joe (Marie) and Bill (Sheila); and his daughter-in-law Dorothy. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Riverside Pentecostal Church (22 Main St, Glenwood, NL A0G2K0). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Pentecostal Cemetery.
