With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maurice J. McCarthy of Terrenceville, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 9, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Patrick John and Bridget Ellen; his wife Adela; his sons, Michael and Pat; his daughter-in-law Helena; and his sister Mary Jane.

He is survived by : his children, Mary (Ray), Jenny (Charles), Frances (Mike), Madonna (Kevin), Cathy (Edward), Joan (Andy), Maurice Jr., Albert, Kevin, Jimmy and Pierce (Verna); and his close friends, Jimmy Hartson, Billy Hickey, Jerry Collier and Walt Frost.

In Maurice's memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
