He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Squires and Lenora Squires; his parents-in-law, Jack and Mae Eason; his sisters, Sylvia Earle (George), Evelyn Brushett (Merle Beers), Daphne Tilley (Oswald) and Helen Way (Howard); his brother-in-law Arthur Greenslade; and his nephews, Greg Brushett and Stephen Way.

He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Squires-Dawe (Paul Dawe); his granddaughter Haley Mae Dawe; his brother-in-law Jackie (Hanni); his niece Heidi; his sister-in-law Joan (Grant Barnes); his nieces and nephews, Lesley Ann Barnes and Christopher Barnes (Liz); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Racheal, Blake, John and Annie; his sister-in-law Phyllis Greenslade; his nieces and nephews, Max Greenslade (Sharon), Sylvia Evans (Gary), Esther Amero (Carmen), Michele Coates Sherri (Robert), Kirk Greenslade (Pamela), Janet Best (Ken), Sylvia Noseworthy (late Kevin), Grant Earle (Terri Lynn), Gary Earle (Linda Corbett), Gerry Earle, Tony Brushett, Michele Brushett (Philip Street), Monique Mosher (Michael), Debbie Tilley (Dave), Sharon Murray (Gabriel), Carl Tilley (Sharon), Steven Tilley (Tracey), Michael MacNeil (Vicky), David McNeil (Laura), Tammie Way and Michelle Butler Greeley; his friend Joyce; Brendon and Carol Corcoran.
