With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Jardine (Simmons) Rowsell of Topsail, Newfoundland, who passed away on November 23, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband David; her parents, Gordon Simmons and Emily Simmons; and her siblings, Andy, Gordon "Peck" and Elizabeth "Bettes".
She is survived by: her children, Justin (Frank) and Emily (Curtis); her granddaughters, Emma, Abigail Rowsell and Amelia Jennings; and her siblings-in-law, Ken Rowsell (Sylvia), Barbara Simmons and Marion Simmons.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the 28th the Carnell Memorial Chapel (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3).
Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in her memory can be made to the bridges of hope food aid centre, or to a charity of ones choice.
