He was predeceased by : his parents, Bronson Burt and Helen Burt. He is survived by : his wife Sharon; his children, Robert (Katie) and Karla (Justin Kelly); and his grandsons, Charles, Harrison and Liam. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert's memory to the Heart and Stroke foundation, or to a charity of one's choice.
