With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barry J. Whelan (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 25, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Whelan and Rose Whelan (Doyle); and his siblings, Ted and Peggy. He is survived by: his sons, Gregory (Vanessa) and Baz (Shelley); his grandchildren, Samuel, Mariana, Chelsea, Cecilia and Bruno; his sisters, Jeanette (Ryan), Rose Anne (O'Keefe) and Marie (Ridgeley); and his close friend Linda.
