With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brenda Mary Skanes (Torbay, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2026 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo (Dorothy Burke) and Gerald (Mary Kerrivan). She is survived by: her daughter Tracey; her grandchildren, Gereina (Gregory), Gemma (Evan) and Shawn; her siblings, John, Tony, Carl, Kevin, Gerry (Tina), Patricia, Theresa (Ron), Kathleen, Sandra (Doug) and Alice; her boyfriend Bennett Sears; her siblings, Linda and Eddy; and her brothers-in-law, Will Gollop and Wally Sampson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a kidney disease charity in her honor.Though she is no longer with us, her love, strength, and legacy will live on in all who knew her.
