She was predeceased by: her husband Eric; her parents, David Benteau and Lucy Benteau; her stepmother Harriet; and her siblings, Morris, Greg, Eugene and Lucy.
She is survived by: her children, Marlene Hamshaw (Roger), Sandra Moore (Tony Power), Tony and David (Pam); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Todd, Michael, Meagan and Emily; and her siblings, Raphael (Hilda), David (Annie), Leo (Catherine), Clem (Melinda), Eric (Linda), Tom (Evelyn), Marie and Rose (Tom). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Dorothy's memory to The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association - Newfoundland and Labrador.
