With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Furlong (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 11, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alexander Furlong (Googie); her parents, Bridget Layman and Jim Shute; and her siblings, Jimmy, Isabelle, Leo, Diane and Lorraine.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon (Kjell); her grandchildren, Jan Ole and Asbjorn; her children, Lynn (Mike), Wayne (Paula), Gary (Ina), Michael, Clairey, Jacob, Renee (Billy) and Christa (Billy); her grandchildren, Brad, Vanessa, Jason, Thomas, Nakita, Wayne, Chad, Andrew, Christopher and Shyla; her great grandchildren, Mason, Jason, Oaklen, Lakelee and Seabrooke; her siblings, Bridie (Mike), John (Bev) and Loretta (Art); her niece Cathy Furlong (Gerard Wakeham); and her friend Gladys Martin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
