He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; and his siblings, Reverend Edward Purcell and Katherine Anderson. He is survived by: his brother Tom; his nieces and nephews, Cathy Anderson, Debbie Kavanagh (John), Ann Marie Mixer (Jim), Sandy Purcell, Karen Purcell (John), Tom (Trudy) and Ned Anderson (Kathy); Willy Maher (Ellen).
