He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Rice and Ellen Rice (McCormack). He is survived by: his wife Edna Lahey; his children, Tina (Rick), Sheldon (Cassandra), Blair, Kim and Paddy; his siblings, Leo (Lola), Janice (Paul), Helen (Albert), Bernadette, Margarett and Mary; his grandchildren, Samantha (Herbie), Bradley (Laura), Stephanie (Matthew), Hailey (Nick), Kyle, Abigail, Micheal and Trinity; and his great grandchildren, Sophie, Lyndsey, Matthew, Declan, Ryder and Parker.
