He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric Chafe and Alfreda Chafe; and his brother Eric Chafe. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Durdle (late Edmund), Glenys Sears Gorman (Bill), Ruby Grouchy (late Fred), Elizabeth Chafe (Karl), Kelvin Chafe and Geoff Chafe (Joyce).
