He was predeceased by: his daughter Elizabeth Anne Holwell (Libby); his parents, Jack Abbott and Angela Abbott (Furey); his brothers, Bill (Helen), Ed and Robert; his parents-in-law, Frank and Rose Kennedy; his siblings-in-law, Michael, Tom (Lorraine), Frank and Roberta Kennedy Gillespie; his aunts, Anna, Kitty and Lucy; his son John (Fiona); and his grandchildren, Lori (Chris), Michael (Suzanne), Kate, Beth (Mark) and Gillian.
He is survived by: his significant other Alice Clare; his great grandchildren, Olivia, John, Hannah, Megan, Erin, Alex, Andrew, Trent and Alice Claire; and his sisters-in-law, Sheila Abbott, Winnie Abbott, Rosemary Fahey, Betty Lou Kennedy (Patrick), Marilyn Kennedy, Cathy O'Keefe (Bill), Tessie Kennedy, Tess Kennedy and Mary Donovan Kennedy. He is also survived by uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
