With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Melee Jr. (Torbay, Newfoundland), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. and Grace; his brothers, Tom, Bill, Robert, Frank and Ed; his daughter Cathy; his grandchildren, Jessica Breen, Nicole Hollett and Danny Hollett; his in-laws, Charles and Stella Goobie; and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen, Bernice, Shirley (Frank), Tish, Stella, Jean, Charles (Elizabeth), Cecil (Florence), Don (Joan), Gilbert and Edward.
He is survived by: his wife Florence (Toots); his daughters, Regina (Rick) and Rose (Todd); his grandchildren, Rickey, Christopher (Khoa), Cory (Nicole) and Kyle; his son-in-law Dan Hollett; his sisters-in-law, Patsy, Joan, Nancy, Marie and Millie; his close friends, Tom Penney and Jason Ennis; and his friends, Remy and Luna.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8).
