He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Powers and Winnifred Powers; his brother Bob Powers; his sister-in-law Debbie Farrell; and his parents-in-law, Michael and Carmel Haire.

He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughters, Janelle Murphy (Bob), Stephanie Powers and Angela Collins (Mike); his grandchildren, Jordyn, Quinn, Charlie and Emeric; his brothers, Vic Powers (Cheryl) and Jeff Powers; his siblings-in-law, Sylvia Powers, Carmelanne Langmead (Fred), Craig Haire (Ann), Mike Haire (Geraldine) and Bern Farrell; and his close friends, Jim and Harold. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and neighborhood friends.
