He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McCann and Mary Ellen McCann; and his siblings, Michael McCann and Mary Sjoberg. He is survived by: his wife Ursula (Costello); his children, Diane Gover (Clarence), Yvonne Bailey and Daniel McCann (Dawn); his grandchildren, John Leo, Alison (Eric), Roxana (Ashe), Evan (Chelsea), Andrew and Leah; and his brother Brendan McCann (Sandra). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
