With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leo Vincent Murphy of Torbay, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 30, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Murphy and Ellen Murphy (Waterman); his sisters, Angela and Bernadette Murphy; his parents-in-law, Jacob and Dora Newell; and his brothers-in-law, David Newell and Gus Lacey.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Murphy (Newell); his sons, Darren Murphy and David Murphy (Chantal Collins); his grandchildren, Ashleigh Murphy and Jacob McLean-Murphy; his siblings, Veronica Thistle (Junior), Mary Lacey, Sylvester Murphy (Sheila) and Patrick Murphy; his sisters-in-law, Edna Davis (Bill), Bernice Newell (Randy Coombs) and Geraldine Newell; and his close friends, William Roche and Tom Ryan.
