Loretta Jones Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Jones (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Loretta leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Loretta may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Hawco (Flynn) and John Hawco; her husband Oliver; and her sister Lena. She is survived by: her brother Dominic (Nancy); her daughters, Charlotte (Chad) and Regina (Cyril); and her stepdaughters, Mary (Russ) and Bernice. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Caul's Chapel, LeMarchant Road.
Flowers gratefully accepted or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loretta's memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
