It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Augustus Burton (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent James and Margaret; his siblings, Vince, Kevin, Paul, Cynthia and Marilyn; and his close friend George McGuire.

He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Leo and Freda English; his wife Patricia (Pat); his son Michael; his grandchildren, Amelia and Arthur; his pet Rover; his siblings, Wayne, Donald, Brendan, Edward (Rusty), Anita (George), Catherine (Clarence), Gloria (Leroy), Sheila (Rick), Janet (Gary) and Ellen (late Mike Quility); his siblings-in-law, Patricia "Pat" (late Vince), Gerri Trainor (George), Sheila Coleman (John), Mary Corbett (late Bob), Tom English (Carmelita) and Kevin English (Louise); and his close friends, Debbie, Pat, Jean-Ann, Chris, Marlene, Elizabeth, Bill, Bob, Jeanette, Shirley and Ron.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honour to the Kid's Eat Smart Program or to a charity of one's choice.
