It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Hancock (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Hancock to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Allan; her son Christopher; her parents, Catherine Sweeney and John Sweeney; and her brothers, John, Thomas, Paddy (Betty), Jimmy, David, Glen and Albert.
She is survived by: her sisters, Jeanette Quigley (Bren) and Marie Pretty (Charles); her sister-in-law Elaine Pitcher; her children, Donna Grenning (Barry) and David (Roxanne Melendy); her daughter-in-law Cheryl (Follett); her grandchildren, Ben, Noah Grenning, Kat, Emmy and Callie Hancock; her sister Joshlyn Sweeney; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Wareham (Brett).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home (84 Lemarchant Rd, St. John's, NL A1C2G8). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cauls Chapel, LeMarchant Road.
