It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maureen Josephine (Murphy) Stapleton (Torbay, Newfoundland), who passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. J. Murphy and Rosalita Murphy. She is survived by: her husband Bill Stapleton; her sons, Ian (Tara) and Colin (Alicia-Rae); her grandchildren, Malachy and Willow; and her siblings, Bill (Sandra), Ed (Rosemary), Joe (Isobel) and Joanne (Brian). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Caul's Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist (200 Military Rd, St. John's, NL A1C5G9).
